Student profiles

My  name is Peng Jianjian. Five years ago, I came to Odesa from China to study at South Ukrainian State Pedagogical University  named after K. D. Ushynsky.   Now  I am a student of the 6th  course of the Institute of Physics and Mathematics where I specialize in Computer Science.

My student life has been pleasant as a whole.  In this beautiful seaside city, there are many people who are willing to reach out and  give a help.  The faculty and classmates at the university have helped make my day-to-day life very easy.

Odesa is rich with its history, culture, and traditions, and it is always interesting for me to learn about the history of Ukraine and the everyday life of Ukrainians.  This knowledge will be very valuable for me in the future when I return to China.

I think  when my studies will have ended, I  have an excellent education from a great university, I will have knowledge of the Russian language, and I will be an experienced specialist in my field.  I believe this university can help me open the wide horizons in my life and find the best place in the world.

My name is Ayad Hayawi Taama Al Ataby. I am from Iraq. I graduated Faculty of Arts  of Basra’ s University. I received the Master degree at the Faculty of Graphic Arts of the South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D.Ushynsky in 2008 ( defended my diploma thesis on “ Investigation of Painting Methods in Creating  of Thematic Composition” with the mark “Excellent”).

Drawing  is my life. I began drawing  in my early childhood and all my time  I have been working  with easel  and colours in my hands. Most of all I like  to paint animals,  especially  horses, elderly people and stormy sea. In my thinking painting  is an expression of inner microcosm  of an artist in which  every person can find  the analogy  with   his own  world  of soul.

Now I am writing my dissertation work. Thanks to the teaching and support I have received from university.

My name is Xia Jin Hua. I came from China to Odesa in 2004 and entered the Institute of Psychology at South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D.Ushynsky.

Odesa stands at the shore of the Black Sea. It is a beautiful and interesting city. The city is proud to display its history and successfully integrates new and interesting ideas to show it is a progressive city.  Gold cupolas of the churches sparkle in the bright sunshine among green trees. There are a lot of recreation zones, parks, gardens, theatres, concert halls, and clubs within the city which gives students a break outside of their studies. Tourists from all over the world come to experience this type of culture.

The university has many high level professionals that educate students. This gives the students the opportunity to learn from some of the best experts of their fields.  Foreign students have the support of the faculty to assist us in our studies.

My student’s life is interesting and happy. I like to communicate with  Ukrainian students and friends.

To become a psychologist is my dream.  My dream is becoming a reality.  I am serious about this subject because I like it so much.  Due to the encouragement of the faculty, I stay motivated and excited about psychology.  This year  I will have my diploma and I will look back fondly of my time in Odesa.

My name is Ma Xu. I am from China. Now I live in Odessa. Odessa is a very beautiful city. The climate is nice in this place and it is very important for musicians.

I am a student of the Institute of Arts of the South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D.Ushynsky. There are a lot of great teachers here. They help all students in developing their theoretical and practical skills in the performing, dancing, singing or playing the instrument and choral conducting. They help to provide students with knowledge and understanding the necessary things for the next future, i.e. the employment or further career development in the field of music. The teachers are really smart at the university and I have made lots of friends. It is great because we work as a team. We as the foreign students would like to express our great thank for understanding and support.
