On November 27, 2021, the Karate Championship of Ukraine among schoolchildren and students took place in Dnipro. According to the results of the competition, the national team of Odesa region took the first place.

The students of Ushynsky University - Daria Yervachova (3rd place), Yaroslav Fedorov (1st place) and David Yanovsky (1st place) took part in karate competitions as a part of the national team of Odesa region.
