On June 1, on the occasion of Children's Day and World Parents' Day, the 1st International Scientific and Practical Conference "Modern Preschool Education: Realities and Prospects" was held on the basis of Izmail State University of Humanities. The conference was attended by teachers of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Preschool Education, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Science, Professor Alla Bohush; Ph.D., Professor Lyudmila Berezovska; Ph.D., Associate Professor Iryna Popova; teacher-intern Stanislava Dikhtyarenko.

Alla Mykhailivna Bohush spoke at the plenary session of the conference. In her speech, the scientist revealed the phenomenon of "childhood", voiced V. Sukhomlynskyi's "Manifesto of Modern Childhood"; outlined the value dimensions (self-worth) of childhood.

The conference united scientists from different parts of Ukraine around the topic of education and development of preschool children in modern social conditions.
