On November 24, the Department of Philosophy, Sociology and Management of Socio-Cultural Activity hosted the Intellectual Debate "The Idea of Infinite Space in the Philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche". The debate was held within the framework of the activities of the "School of Logistics" scientific group under the leadership of Ye.R. Borinshtein. The debate was devoted to the problems of death and immortality. The importance of historical memory in the life of humanity and Ukrainian society was analyzed. The following were considered: the tragedy of the famine-genocide of the Ukrainian people, which is celebrated on November 25; the role of philosophy in understanding the meaning of life; the importance of youth in the context of modern transformational processes. A screening of Daran Aranofskyi's film "The Fountain" was held at the department. After that, the ideas of human immortality and their reflection in the film were discussed.
The meeting was attended by students of the 11th grade of Odesa Lyceum No. 81; students of specialties 028 Management of socio-cultural activities and 034 Cultural studies; Ye.R. Borinstein, head of the scientific group "School of Logistics", guarantor of specialty 034 Doctor of Philosophy; O.V. Liseyenko, guarantor of specialty 028 Doctor of Sociological Sciences.
The problems of morality as the basis for the existence of civilized humanity were emphasized. In the speeches of students and schoolchildren, the desire to develop the system of value orientations of the creative personality was heard, the special role of humanity was noted.
