On November 28, 2024, the 1st stage of the 15th International Language and Literary Competition of Students and Student Youth named after Taras Shevchenko took place at the Faculty of History and Philology. At the opening of the competition, students of the 1st and 2nd years of study recited the poetry of the Kobzar and staged the poems of Taras Shevchenko, because the purpose of the Competition is to honor the creative heritage of Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko, to stimulate student youth to study the Ukrainian language and literature.
According to the participants of the competition, Shevchenko is a symbol of Ukraine, a true and sincere soul of our people, the embodiment of its dignity, spirit and memory. We thank all students for their active participation in the Competition, teachers for their help and preparation, and congratulate the winners. Let us remember that the deepest respect for Taras Shevchenko is our love for our Motherland and native language.
The organizers of the Competition are the Department of Ukrainian Philology and Methods of Teaching Professional Disciplines and the Department of Ukrainian and Foreign Literatures.
