On every fourth Saturday of November, Ukraine annually celebrates a sad commemorative date - Holodomor Memorial Day. On this occasion, Kateryna Anatolyivna Filiptsova, associate professor of the Department of Biology and Health Care of Ushynsky University, conducted educational work with students of the 3rd year of study in specialty 014 Secondary Education (Physical Culture).
The Holodomor is a crime of genocide against the Ukrainian people, the result of a massive famine deliberately organized by the Soviet authorities in 1932-1933, which led to multi-million human losses in the rural areas of the Ukrainian SSR and the Kuban, the vast majority of whose population was Ukrainians. Caused by deliberate and purposeful measures of the top leadership of the Soviet Union and the Ukrainian SSR headed by Stalin, designed to suppress the Ukrainian national liberation movement and physically destroy part of the Ukrainian peasantry.
