On February 3-4, 2024, at the initiative of rector Andriy Vasylovнch Krasnozhon, the Ushнnsky University team took part in the 4th annual Kasparov Chess Foundation University Cup.
The team of our University was represented by 5 students, including the famous Ukrainian chess player, grandmaster, honored master of sports of Ukraine, two-time European champion, vice-champion of the world in blitz, finalist of the FIDE World Cup, champion of Ukraine - Nataliya Zhukova. Also, the team included: Angelchuk Dmytro - first-year student of the second (master's) level of specialty 014 Secondary Education (History), Maksym Agapov - first-year student of the first (bachelor's) level of specialty 014.11 Secondary Education (Physical Culture), Tetyana Khivrenko - student of the second year of the first (bachelor's) level of specialty 016 Special education, Mykhailo Shmushkovich - student of the first year of the third (educational and scientific) level of specialty 032 History and Archeology.
The result of the tournament for the Ushynsky University team is as follows: 3 wins, 3 losses and 3 draws.
All participants received certificates.
