On January 12, 2022, "Confucius Class" at Odesa Lyceum No. 117 on the basis of the "Confucius Institute" of Ushynsky University held a solemn event "Chinese New Year - the year of the Green Wooden Dragon", which was attended by the rector Andrii KRASONOJHON, Andrii NACHEV the vice-rector for international, social of humanitarian and scientific-pedagogical work, Oleksandra POPOVA, the dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, co-director of the Confucius Institute, Oleksandra MORHUN, the head of the international relations department, teachers, representatives of the Center's secretariat and the student council.
This year, students of the Chinese language of the Confucius Class prepared bright performances and immersed themselves in a journey to the world of Chinese culture and traditions. Pupils of the 5th grade demonstrated the song "Gong Si", pupils of the 8th grade told and presented the legends of this New Year's holiday in China, presented Li Bo's poems and vivid events of his biography. After the concert, students were offered master classes, namely: calligraphy, tea party and gingerbread painting, carving, weaving, career guidance.
