On January 29-February 16, 2024, the regional tour of the All-Ukrainian competition "Teacher of the Year - 2024" was held on the basis of "Odesa Academy of Continuing Education of the Odesa Regional Council". In the "Physics" nomination, the second place was won by a graduate of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics, majoring in Secondary Education (Physics), Viktoria Oleksandrivna Kirchevska, who currently works as a physics teacher at Odesa Lyceum No. 1 named after A. P. Bystrina of the Odesa City Council.
"It is not the first time that graduates of the Secondary Education (Physics) specialty become winners and laureates of the All-Ukrainian Teacher of the Year competition. It's nice to see that the well-known methodical school of teaching physics, started at Ushinsky University by professor Hryhoriy Borysovych Redko, continues the glorious traditions," noted O.I. Ordanovska, a member of the competition jury, associate professor of the Department of Innovative Technologies and Methods of Teaching Natural Sciences, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences.
