On February 19, 2024, the preliminary defense of the dissertation research of Oleksandra Morhun, a graduate student of the Department of Pedagogy, on the topic "Formation of Linguistic and Cultural Competence of Future Chinese Language Translators in the Conditions of University Education" was held at the University of Ushinsky for obtaining the scientific degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the specialty 011 Educational, Pedagogical Sciences. Academic supervisor: Oleksandra Volodymyrivna Popova, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor.
The participants of the scientific (professional) seminar supported the chosen scientific vector of the conducted research in the aspect of dynamic development of international contacts between Ukraine and China; world political, economic, cultural integration processes; cooperation programs of Central and Eastern Europe and China "16+1", "Belt and Road", "Maritime Silk Road of the 21st century", "Silk Road Economic Belt", etc.
The purpose of the study was to theoretically substantiate and experimentally verify the model of formation of linguistic and cultural competence of future translators of the Chinese language in the conditions of university education and pedagogical conditions for its implementation during professional training. The realization of the goal was facilitated by the solution of a number of tasks that were successfully solved and experimentally proven by the acquisition due to positive shifts in the results of the author's teaching methodology.
So, at the end of the discussion, a dissertation work was recommended for consideration by a specialized academic council.
