On May 15, 2024, according to tradition, the Open Day of the Faculty of Foreign Languages was held. The event was attended by students of senior classes of secondary schools in Odesa.
The Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, O. V. Popova, welcomed the attendees. The Head of the Department of Translation and Theoretical and Applied Linguistics I. M. Derik, Associate Professor of the Department of Western and Oriental Languages and Methods of Teaching O. A. Buzdugan, Trainee Teacher of the Department of German Languages and Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages A. V. Boshkov talked about the specifics of training in specialties 014 Secondary education "Language and foreign literature (English, Chinese, Korean)" and 035 "Philology".
Students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, representatives of student self-government spoke during the event. The program of the concert included performances of various genres - declaration of Korean poems, popular songs and dances, presentations of scholarship programs of the "Confucius Institute" and academic mobility with Korean universities. After the concert, school graduates were counseled on admission to the university in the above specialties.
At the end of the event, a photo session was held with applicants, guests and our female students dressed in traditional Chinese qipao, hanfu, and Korean hanboks.
