Kateryna PISKUN, a 4th-year student of the Political Science major at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, wrote a scientific essay titled “SOFT POWER: THE KEY TO SUCCESS IN INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS” under the supervision of her scientific supervisor, Candidate of Political Sciences, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Political Science and Law, Svitlana DMYTRASHKO. The essay is devoted to examining one of the key tools for implementing soft power - public diplomacy, which involves targeted communication with the public of other countries to form a positive image of the state and achieve its interests. The phenomenon of “soft power” is considered in a broad cultural and civilizational aspect and public diplomacy is defined as a tool of soft power, which allows using informal channels for dialogue and effective response to humanitarian challenges.
