On April 28, in the very heart of Odessa - in the historical Passage on Deribasivska - the dance performance "Lesya Ukrainka in Odesa!" took place, which combined choreography, literary heritage and urban space. The space of the Passage became a stage where history came to life - the audience had the opportunity not only to contemplate, but also to interact with the action. The performance presented an original look at the life and work of Lesya Ukrainka during her stay in Odesa. The performers were student choreographers of the Faculty of Music and Choreography. The authors and directors of the performance were teachers of the Department of Musical Art and Choreography Yulia Volkova and Arseny Terzi. Through the language of movement, the young artists recreated the inner world of the poetess: her struggle, inspiration, love of freedom and words.
This performance is a unique presentation of the "Liberal Arts" Dance Theater of the Faculty of Music and Choreography of Ushynsky University.
