On September 9, 2025, for the first time in the history of the State Institution "South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky", courses in Japanese language and culture were opened on the basis of the Faculty of Foreign Languages! More than 40 higher education students demonstrated interest and desire to immerse themselves in the magical world of another oriental language and culture, to join the linguistic and cultural treasure of Japan. An experienced Japanese language teacher, active public figure, culturologist and religious scholar Mr. MASATO Funakoshi conducted classes at a high methodological level. The enthusiastic students received a lot of positive emotions and intend to continue studying, along with Korean and Chinese, another oriental language - Japanese on a regular basis. The opening of the Center for Japanese Culture is planned in the near future. We wish them academic success!
