On October 16, 2025, as part of the educational process in specialty 053 "Psychology" of the EPP "Applied and Practical Psychology", a guest meeting was held with Tetyana Cherkasova, Master of Psychology, Early Intervention Specialist, Head of the Early Intervention Office of Academician B. Ya. Reznik Center.

The event was organized for third-year bachelor's degree students in the discipline "Profession of a Psychologist: From Education to Practice" (lecturer - Bortov Andrii Serhiyovych).

Topic of the meeting: "What is Early Intervention? The Role of a Psychologist in a Transdisciplinary Team"

In a warm and open atmosphere, the participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with the principles and values ​​of the early intervention service, which today is an important part of modern assistance to early-age children with developmental disorders and their families.

Special attention was paid to the role of a psychologist in a transdisciplinary team, namely: the interaction of specialists from different fields (psychologists, speech therapists, rehabilitation specialists, doctors, social workers), working in close partnership with parents. The students learned about the peculiarities of communication with families, a holistic vision of the child in the context of his family and community, as well as the skills necessary for a modern psychologist in this field.

Tetyana Cherkasova not only shared the theoretical foundations of the approach, but also presented real examples from her own professional experience, revealing the daily challenges and victories of a psychologist in working in an early intervention team. The meeting contributed to the formation of the professional identity of future psychologists and expanded their understanding of the possibilities of applying knowledge in practice.

The event was held with the support of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Psychology and Social Sciences and the Department of General and Differential Psychology.
