According to the European integration action plan, an online meeting was held on October 31, 2025 with graduates of the Faculty of Music and Choreography working in their specialty in European countries. The meeting was very interesting and productive for both future specialists and postgraduate students. The graduates of the faculty Olena Laktionova (Germany) and Halyna Favaretto (Switzerland) shared their practical experience of working in European educational systems. The students of all levels of higher education majoring Secondary Education (Musical Art) (A4) and Musical Art (B5), as well as postgraduate students studying at the ESP "Artistic Pedagogy of Higher Education" had a wonderful opportunity to learn firsthand about the European experience of teaching musical art, compare teaching methods, and expand their professional worldview.
Olena Laktionova (during her studies – Ligeida), who works at a school in Berlin, and Galina Favaretto (during her studies – Ohrenich), who works at schools in Bern (Switzerland), very interestingly and meaningfully reported on the features of music lessons in these countries. The comparisons were immediately made and differences were identified. The teachers of the institute were very pleased to hear words of great gratitude for high-quality education. The graduates convincingly argued that it is music and pedagogical education that is competitive on the labor market in Europe. They feel confident as professionals, their work is highly valued, The strategy of training future teachers and teachers of music in terms of mastering various types of music making turned out to be justified. This is a fundamental difference from training in a narrow specialization.
We are very grateful to Olena Laktionova and Halyna Favaretto for such a creative meeting, we hope for further cooperation.
