From 16.11.2025 to 22.11.2025, a delegation of Ushynsky University visited Harbin (PRC) consisting of Vice-Rector for Research H. V. Muzychenko, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages O. V. Popova, and Head of the International Department O. O. Morhun. The purpose of the visit was to participate in a series of forums on the expanded platform of the Confucius Institute Educational and Cultural Center and to develop strategies for the development of joint scientific and annual reporting conference on the activities of the Confucius Institute Educational and Cultural Center in 2024−2025.

The meeting of the Board of the Educational and Cultural Center "Confucius Institute" was held in a mixed format.
The Chinese side was represented by the Rector of Harbin Engineering University Yin Jingwei, Vice-Rector of HEU Yu Zhiwen, Head of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department of HEU Dou Zheng, Assistant Head of the Financial Department of HEU Feng Guang, Deputy Director of the Institute of International Cooperation and Education of HEU Deng Xiaoming, Deputy Head of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department of HEU Ding Xin, and the person responsible for the activities of the "Confucius Institute" from the Chinese side Xi Hongang.
The Rector of Ushynsky University Andriy Krasnozhon delivered a welcoming speech and emphasized the importance of team cooperation with Chinese colleagues. The new Rector of Harbin Engineering University Yin Jingwei positively supported the speech of Andrey Krasnozhon and expressed his desire to promote the progressive development of the "Confucius Institute". Partners from Harbin Engineering University positively assessed the work of the Center during the reporting period. Despite the military operations in Ukraine, the Confucius Institute continued to actively operate on advanced digital platforms and achieved significant results in the fields of culture, education and science.
At the meeting, members of the Confucius Institute Council from the Ukrainian and Chinese sides constructively discussed further plans for the development of the Center in the context of global digitalization, the possibility of consolidating joint efforts to expand cooperation in various areas, in particular, enhancing the skills of Ukrainian scientific and pedagogical workers at Harbin Engineering University, which will contribute not only to enriching the experience of working in an international team in a specialized field, but also to mastering the Chinese language and improving the level of English.
A number of documents were signed regulating the financial relations and educational and cultural activities of the Confucius Institute in the 2025-2026 academic year.
One of the key moments of the meeting was the presentation of the Certificate of Honor by the Rector of Harbin Engineering University Yin Jingwei for the victory of the Confucius Institute students in the V International Short Video Competition ("CI Moments Global Short Video Collection Event").
The full functioning of the Confucius Class at Secondary School No. 117, opened on the basis of the Confucius Institute of Ushynsky University in 2020, was noted.
In the new working year, guided by the new five-year development plan of the Educational and Cultural Center "Confucius Institute" of Ushynsky University for 2025-2030", Ushynsky University expresses its readiness to provide continuous support in strengthening cooperation between the two sides and continue to promote constructive dialogue between partner universities and peoples.
