On December 3, 2025, a guest lecture was held online at the Educational, Scientific, Information and Cultural Center of the Republic of Korea of ​​Ushynsky University, dedicated to “Issues of Informal Education in the Republic of Korea” and the work of the K-MOOC Korea University – Outreach Center for Korean Linguistic, Literary, and Cultural Studies platform. The event was opened by the Director of OCKS, Professor Jang Kyong-chung, who welcomed the students and spoke about modern approaches to the spread of the Korean language, literature and culture in the world. The Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, O. V. Popova, joined the congratulations, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation in the field of education and the development of Ukrainian-Korean academic contacts.

After the official part, Professor Seo Jong-min, the program coordinator, presented the Korea University OCKS – K-MOOC platform and familiarized students in detail with the possibilities of online learning, the structure of courses and the principles of open education in Korea. Despite the distance format, students actively participated in the work, asked questions and discussed.

The lecture was attended by students majoring in A4.029 Other Languages ​​(Korean) and Foreign Literature. Higher education students got acquainted with the features of the system of informal and open education of the Republic of Korea, gained a thorough understanding of the functioning of the national K-MOOC platform, and realized the potential of online courses for self-development and in-depth study of the Korean language. In addition, they explored the educational opportunities of the Outreach Center for Korean Linguistic, Literary, and Cultural Studies and identified ways to integrate these resources into the professional training of future Korean language teachers. At the end of the event, participants received valuable recommendations from lecturers on effective learning in the conditions of the modern global educational space.
