On December 4, 2025, an extended meeting of the Department of Theory and Methods of Physical Culture and Sports Disciplines was held, dedicated to the pre-defense of the dissertation work of a graduate of the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education in the educational program "Physical Culture and Sports", a lecturer of the department, Tetyana Mykhailivna Kovaleva. Drazina Evdokia Volodymyrivna is a Scientific supervisor of the dissertation work, Head of the Department of Theory and Methods of Physical Culture and Sports Disciplines, Candidate of Sciences in Physical Education and Sports, Associate Professor.
The extended meeting of the department was attended by scientific and pedagogical workers of the departments: theory and methods of physical culture and sports disciplines, gymnastics and physical culture and sports technologies, special and inclusive education, sports games and physical culture management. The following took part in the discussion of the results of the dissertation work: Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Olha Ivanivna Forostyan, Doctor of Sciences in Physical Education and Sports, Associate Professor Bozhena Olehivna Bukhovets, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor Olha Vadymivna Bondarenko, Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Special Education, Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor Hanna Borysivna Sokolova, Guarantor of the ESP "Physical Culture and Sports", Doctor of Sciences in Physical Education and Sports, Professor Valentyna Georgiivna Todorova.
Kovaleva Tetyana Mykhailivna presented the results of the dissertation research on the topic: "Application of innovative technologies in improving the physical fitness of future specialists in physical culture and sports", in which she highlighted the theoretical foundations, practical significance and scientific novelty of the work carried out.
During the discussion, clarifying questions were asked regarding the validity of the selection of innovative fitness tools, the limits of application of the developed program and the possibilities of its further expansion, as well as regarding ensuring the technique and safety of performing exercises in an online format. The experts provided substantive recommendations on improving the structure and individual provisions of the dissertation work, and also noted the relevance of the chosen topic in the conditions of modern professional training of specialists in the field of physical culture and sports. The guarantor of the ESP, Professor Valentyna Georgiivna Todorova emphasized the importance of integrating modern fitness technologies into the educational process and emphasized the significance of the research conducted for further improvement of the educational and scientific program.
Following the results of the constructive discussion, the participants of the meeting noted the high level of preparation of the dissertation work and provided substantive recommendations necessary for further improvement of its content before submission for defense. At the end of the meeting, the participants and staff of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Special Education wished Kovaleva T. M. successful completion of her dissertation and further scientific achievements.
