On February 10, a traditional online meeting on the topic "Symbol drama in the practice of working with children in a crisis or traumatic state" was held for students in the educational laboratory "Skrepka", which was created on the basis of the Department of Theory and Methods of Practical Psychology of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Psychology and Social Sciences.

This is not the first master class in the laboratory with Galyna Arkadiyevna Galka, who is a practical psychologist of the highest category in educational institutions, a psychotherapist using the symbol drama method, and a member of the Ukrainian public organization Institute for the Development of Symbol Drama and Depth Psychology.

The students had the opportunity to learn about the experience of psychological work using the symbol drama method with children in a crisis or traumatic state. Ms. Galyna convinced the students by personal example that symbol drama is a very accurate, delicate and responsible work with the inner world of the child, which is still being formed.

It was emphasized that the psychologist does not treat the child with the problem, but works with the family system through the child. Galyna Arkadiyevna described each stage of work with parents (from contact and security to teaching parents game methods of harmonizing family communication), and then focused on important components of work with the child.

The moments of clarifying the request using game methods, the nuances of teaching affect regulation, symbolization and satisfaction of archaic needs aroused interest.

For working with a drawing, Galyna Galka recommended the book by Greg M. Fers "The Mysterious World of Drawing".
