In 2025, the regional stage of the All-Ukrainian competition of professional skills “Teacher of the Year – 2025” was held in the Odesa region. Among the best teachers who represented the direction of history and won prizes were graduates from South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky. Their achievements are convincing evidence of the high quality of professional training provided by Ushynsky University.

The winner of the regional stage was Oleksandr Viktorovych Kolisnychenko, a history teacher at Odesa Gymnasium No. 26 of the Odesa City Council, a graduate of Ushynsky University. His professional activity is distinguished by his deep knowledge of historical science, the ability to integrate modern educational technologies and form critical thinking in students. It was thanks to the high level of pedagogical skills that he received the right to represent Odesa region at the national level of the competition.

The second place went to Ilya Arturovych Luchinsky, a history teacher at Odesa Lyceum No. 62 of the Odesa City Council, also a graduate of Ushynsky University. In his work, the teacher combines a systematic approach to teaching with innovative methods focused on active interaction with students and the development of their analytical skills. His result in the competition confirms the high level of professional training and dedication to the chosen cause.

The third place went to Hanna Kruglova, a history teacher and director of Odesa Gymnasium No. 18 of the Odesa City Council, a graduate of Ushynsky University. Combining teaching and management activities, she demonstrates an example of modern educational leadership. Her participation in the competition demonstrated deep professional competence, methodological culture, and a desire for constant professional growth.

The successes of Ushynsky University graduates in the All-Ukrainian competition "Teacher of the Year - 2025" are confirmation that university training forms competitive, professionally mature teachers, capable of representing the region and the state at the highest level. This is a significant result of the joint work of teachers and students and an important indicator of the quality of historical and pedagogical education at Ushynsky University.
