On March 10, 2026, the  postgraduate students of the ESP "Educational, Pedagogical Sciences" and "Professional Education", scientific supervisors and teachers of the Department of Pedagogy of the State Institution "South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky" took part in a guest open lecture "Open Science Tools: Practical Application in Scientific Research". The lecturer was Anna Yatsyshyn, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Leading Researcher at the Institute for Digitalization of Education of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, who has significant experience in the field of digitalization of education, open science and the use of modern digital tools in scientific activity.

During the lecture, the key principles and approaches of open science were considered, as well as modern tools that contribute to increasing the transparency, accessibility and quality of scientific research. The lecturer paid special attention to the practical aspects of using digital platforms to disseminate the results of scientific activity, manage scientific data, create open researcher profiles and increase the visibility of scientific publications in the international academic space. The lecture participants were introduced to the possibilities of using modern scientometric and digital services, discussed issues of academic integrity, open access to scientific results, and received practical recommendations on the use of open science tools in their own research activities. Also, postgraduate students received additional opportunities to perform individual research tasks within the academic disciplines "Scientific Project Management" and "Regulatory and Legal Basis of Scientific Activity".

The event aroused keen interest among postgraduate students and their scientific supervisors, who actively joined the discussion and asked questions about the practical implementation of the presented tools in the process of preparing and implementing scientific research. Conducting such lectures contributes to the expansion of the scientific worldview of young researchers, the development of their digital competencies, and the integration of the Ukrainian scientific community into the global scientific and educational space.
