A curator's hour "Culture of integrity in the educational process"

On March 18, 2026, a curatorial hour “Culture of Integrity in the Educational Process” was held for 4th-year students of the Faculty of History and Philology by Pavlyuk N. L., Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Ukrainian and Foreign Literature. The event was held as part of the Week of Academic Integrity at Ushynsky University, which is traditionally dedicated to the popularization of ethical norms and principles of academic honesty among students and teachers.

The goal of the curatorial hour was to form in students a conscious attitude towards the principles of academic honesty, responsibility and ethical behavior in the educational and scientific environment.

The event was also joined by Derevyankin Leonid Serhiyovych, Head of the authorized unit for the prevention and detection of corruption at Ushynsky University. He shared his own experience in implementing the principles of a culture of integrity in the educational process of the university, provided practical advice and answered students' questions. His speech allowed students to expand their understanding of not only theoretical but also real aspects of adhering to academic standards in education and scientific activity.

Particular attention was paid to the importance of academic integrity as an integral part of the professional culture of a future specialist and scientist.

The curatorial hour was held in the format of live communication, exchange of experience and practical recommendations, leaving students with a sense of the importance of their own responsibility, honesty and professional ethics in further education and scientific activity.

The event demonstrated that the culture of academic integrity is not only a requirement of the modern educational process, but also a key factor in the formation of conscious, responsible and professionally mature students.
