On March 19, 2026, the Department of Preschool Pedagogy organized and held a webinar on the topic "Adherence to Academic Integrity - the Path to Quality Education", dedicated to the current issues of adhering to the principles of academic integrity in the educational environment. The event was held as part of the popularization of ethical standards of scientific and educational activities among higher education students and scientific and pedagogical workers.
Oleksiy Anatoliyovych Lystopad, Head of the Department of Preschool Pedagogy, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, addressed the participants of the webinar with a welcoming speech, focusing on the need for systematic formation of a culture of academic integrity as an integral component of the professional training of future specialists, and also emphasized the importance of adhering to ethical norms in the educational process and scientific activities.
Olena Yuriivna Bulgakova, Dean of the Faculty of Preschool Pedagogy and Psychology, Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor, emphasized that the webinar is part of a set of events within the framework of the Week of Academic Integrity at Ushynsky University.
Storozh Viktoriia Vasylivna, Head of the Department of Family and Special Pedagogy and Psychology, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, noted in her speech that the establishment of the principles of academic integrity directly affects the improvement of the quality of education and the formation of a responsible attitude of participants in the educational process to the results of their own activities.
As part of the event, Anastasia Kazotiy, a higher education student at the Faculty of Preschool Pedagogy and Psychology, presented a meaningful report that systematically revealed key aspects of the issue, in particular the classification of violations of academic integrity, modern approaches to preventing academic plagiarism, requirements for academic writing, as well as the rules for formatting scientific papers in accordance with current standards. Special attention was paid to the importance of the code of academic integrity as a regulator of professional ethics.
The webinar provided for active communication between participants, which made it possible to discuss current challenges in the field of academic integrity, receive practical recommendations and outline ways to improve educational practice. The event contributed to raising the level of awareness of the academic community regarding the principles of integrity and establishing a responsible approach to educational and scientific activities.
