On April 7, 2026, at the Department of Political Science and Law of Ushynsky University, within the framework of the study of the academic disciplines "Comparative Political Science", "Modern Foreign Political Science" (EPP "Political Science") and "Political Comparative Studies" (ESP "Political Science"), an open guest lecture was held by Yulia UZUN, Doctor of Political Science, Professor, Professor of the Department of Political Science of the Faculty of International Relations, Political Science and Sociology of I. I. Mechnikov Odesa National University on the topic "Constitutionalism and its embodiment in political systems".
The lecture considered the issues of analyzing political systems based on institutional, information-entropic, structural-functional, communication, behavioral and other methodological approaches, as well as the methodology of constructivism in the study of political systems and the author's approaches to determining the features of political systems, the mechanisms of their functioning (D. Easton) and classification criteria (K. Deutsch). Special attention was paid to the influence of legal tradition and legal families on the general development of constitutionalism, and therefore on the construction of political systems, the state of their functioning and the dynamics of development. The lecturer also focused separately on the stages of development of constitutionalism in states with different political systems, in particular, on the history of the origin and classification of constitutions, constitutional-legal relations, objects of constitutional regulation, the content of the constitutions of individual states, and also on the basis of the proposed classification of constitutional acts according to certain criteria, the nature of relations in political systems was revealed.
The lecture was held in an open format, which allowed graduate students and students of different levels of higher education and educational programs in specialty C2 (052) "Political Science", as well as teachers of the Department of Political Science and Law at Ushynsky University to join the lecture.
Such guest lectures have already become an integral part of the fruitful educational and scientific cooperation between the Department of Political Science and Law of Ushynsky University and the Department of Political Science of I. I. Mechnikov Odesa National University.
