The Chairman of the Regional Council Anatoliy Urbansky met with the Candidate of Historical Sciences, the Head of the Department "History of Ukraine" at South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D.Ushynsky Andriy Krasnozhon. During the meeting it was about the archaeological expedition to the territory of Akkerman fortress (headed by the Candidate of Historical Sciences Irina Teslenko) created by the decision of the Director of the Institute of Archeology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Victor Chabay. 

In conclusion Anatoliy Urbansky noted that the Regional Council strongly promote archaeological research expedition conducted by the regional budget and municipal enterprise "The Fortress".
