As part of the celebration of the 200th anniversary of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky there was held the traditional international congress "Global problems of teacher education in the university space". It was attended not only by Ukrainian specialists, but also by guests from Georgia, Israel, America, Japan, Estonia, Belarus and other countries. 

It was opened by the Rector, Doctor of Psychology, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine Aleksey Yakovlevich Chebykin.
