By order of the rector of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky, a state language commissioner was appointed (on a public basis). She became Natalia Teodorivna Orobets, a 4th-year student of the Faculty of History and Philology, head of the faculty's press service, moderator of conversation clubs of the "Unite" project, and an activist.

Our university became the second in Ukraine to have its own commissioner for the protection of the state language, but the first to have a representative of the student council. Such a step is important for the full implementation of Article 48 of the Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education" and the Law of Ukraine "On Ensuring the Functioning of Ukrainian as the State Language" at the university.
