On January 29, 2021 at the Faculty of Music and Choreography Ushynsky University there was held a public defense of the dissertation of Moskwa Olena Mykolaina "The formation of technological culture of future teachers of music in the process of vocal training", presented for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in specialty 014 Secondary education (Music).

On January 26, 2021, Vasyl Petrovych Novakovets, a graduate of the Department of Educational Management and Public Administration of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D.Ushynsky, was appointed an expert of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education of Ukraine in specialty 41 - Theology.

The excellent results obtained by Vasyl Petrovych during the preparation in specialty 073 Management at Ushynsky University became a reliable foundation for career growth.

Congratulations to the students of the Faculty of Music and Choreography Zhan Xin, Di Tanchao, Li Hunyan, Anna Grabovska, who won first place in the International Festival-Competition of Arts "Caspi Art", which took the 1 st place in Turkey on January 2-14, 2021.

The expansion of international relations and cooperation with foreign educational and cultural institutions has become one of the most important areas of work of Ushynsky University. For example, an agreement on international cooperation has been recently signed between the Faculty of Music and Choreography of the University and the Fred Astaire Dance Studio Richmond (Richmond, USA).

On January 20, 2021, the first meeting of the new Supervisory Board of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D.Ushynsky took place.

On January 13, the Faculty of Music and Choreography of Ushynsky University hosted a meeting on the quality of training for PhD students in the field of 01 Education / Pedagogy, Secondary Education (Music Art). The meeting was attended by: the guarantor of educational and scientific program, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor O.E. Rebrova; internal stakeholders - Dean of the Faculty of Music and Choreography, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor N.K. Bilova; Head of the Department of Theory of Music and Vocal, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor N.G. Kyon; Head of the Department of Music and Instrumental Training, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor M.G. Demidova, as well as scientific supervisors of candidates.

At the Department of Music Art and Choreography on January 5, 2021 a working meeting of the guarantor of educational and professional program Secondary Education (Music Art) Professor O.Ye. Rebrova with new members of the support team was held. According to a survey of postgraduate students, which took place at the end of 2019-2020 academic year, identified relevant and interesting for them areas of training, namely: basics of musicology and art history, teaching practice at school (secondary and music schools), maintaining the level of performing skills, improving their own performance culture, etc. As a result, the list of optional components has been updated and special credits have been introduced for the professional training and formation of Soft skills.
