November 8, 2018, a scientific-methodical seminar on the topic "Possibilities of the Web of Science platform for qualitative research and teaching" was held in the library of the State institution "South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky". The speaker is a representative of Clarivate Analytics training company, Candidate of Biological Sciences Iryna Tykhonkova.

The students and postgraduates of the Faculty of Music and Choreography of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky from the People's Republic of China Van Lu, Chen Chen, Chen Han, Zhou Ye, Zhou Dapin, Wu Xuan (scientific directors of Prof. O. E. Rebrova, associate professors M G. Demidova, N.O. Batiuk) successfully performed at the XVIII International Contest-Festival "Constellation of Budapest - Youth, Inspiration, Talent", which took place in the capital of Hungary, Budapest, November 2-5, 2018. This competition has traditionally been held within the framework of the festival project "Constellation" under the patronage of the Mayoralty of Budapest and the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine.

On last week of October and the first days of November, a number of artistic and educational events were held at Faculty of Arts and Graphics of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky: an exhibition of creative works of teachers for the Day of the Artist, the Week of Arts, the Art Workshop.

At the end of October 2018, Odesa’s athletes successfully competed in the World Championship in traditional wushu in China, which was attended by over 2000 athletes from 65 countries. As part of the Ukrainian national team, Anna Mandryk has won the gold medal, and Natalia Varlamova, who is a student of the Institute of training and science, physical culture, sports and rehabilitation of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky, has won the silver.

October 24-26, 2018 The VIth International Conference on Adaptive Learning Management Technologie was conducted by the Department of Applied Mathematics and Informatics, led by Professor Mazurok Tatyana Leonidivna.

October 19, 2018, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Ukraine, Mr. Li Young-Gu, visited South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky.
