The department of theory and methodology of physical education and sports sciences held a student scientific forum "Information technology in the field of physical culture and sport", dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the establishment of South Ukrainian national pedagogical university named after K. D. Ushynsky.

April 4, 2017, at the Faculty of preschool pedagogy and psychology of South Ukrainian national pedagogical university named after K. D. Ushynsky there was held a charity event “We Give Joy to Children”. Within the event teachers and students organized an exhibition of students' works, exhibition and sale of food products made by students and master class on quilling. The charity event was aimed at raising funds for orphanages in Odesa region.

April 4, 2017, at the Faculty of preschool pedagogy and psychology of South Ukrainian national pedagogical university named after K. D. Ushynsky there were invited graduate students of the Municipal Institution "Odesa Pedagogical College. An informative and interesting discussion on the relevance and importance of the profession of teacher of preschool children, prospects for higher preschool education, opportunities to get additional specialties. The Dean of the faculty Professor  T. Zharovtseva, Academician Professor A. Bogush spoke in front of the students.

The Department of physical education conducts volleyball tournament dedicated to the Day of Odessa liberation from fascist invaders.

March 28, 2017 in the conference hall of the library the round table "500 years of the Reformation and modern challenges of Ukraine" dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the Reformation was held.

March 24, 2017  the blue room of Ushynsky University hosted the graduates of Master’s degree on specialty "Management of educational institutions"
