On May 6, 2020, an online lecture on «The role and place of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine in the anti-corruption "infrastructure" of the state took place. Features of NABU work». The meeting was organized by the Department of Political Science and Law and the Center for Socio-Political Studies "Politicus". The speakers were Oleksiy Nezhnychenko, Deputy Director of the Odessa Territorial Department of NABU, and Rostyslav Drobozhur, Communications Specialist.

On April 29, 2020, the international ranking RUR World University Rankings was published, which included 1,100 leading universities in the world. According to the results of the evaluation South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky took the 1st place among Ukrainian specialized pedagogical institutions of higher education, the 7th place among other free educational institutions of Ukraine, and the 727th place in the world educational environment.

On April 30, 2020, StrikePlagiarism (Plagiat.pl) together with the library of Ushynsky University of held a webinar for teachers on "Methodology for evaluating scientific and students’ work using the anti-plagiarism system."

Ali Takhmazov, CEO of Plagiat.pl, spoke about the peculiarities of processing the similarity report, the necessary measures to detect plagiarism and bypass the verification system. During the online meeting, participants actively discussed the issue of checking students’ work for textual borrowings.

On April 24, 2020, another traditional All-Ukrainian conference of students and young scientists "Informatics, Information Systems and Technologies" was held, organized by the Department of Applied Mathematics and Informatics. This year's conference is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Ushynsky University.

All-Ukrainian festival-competition of instrumental performance "Zlatogray", organized and founded online by the Department of Music Art of Mykolayiv National University named after V. Sukhomlinsky, took place on April 22 in Mykolaiv.

A virtual exhibition has been organized by the Faculty of Preschool Pedagogy and Psychology of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky. The initiator and scientific supervisor of its conducting is Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and Methods of Preschool Education Yu. A. Rudenko, who involved students in the creation of an exhibition "Easter Pysanka" in the virtual space. The most active in the creation of the exhibits are Flora Gevorgian, Olha Shevchenko, and Iryna Kiselova. The visitors of the virtual exhibition has been able to know that the students of the Faculty of Preschool Pedagogy and Psychology of Ushynsky University are very creative and talented!
