On February 21, 2020, at the Faculty of Foreign Languages of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky, the Head of the Department of Western and Oriental Languages and their teaching methods, Associate Professor A.A. Yumrukuz held an open lecture on the topic: "Academic Integrity in Ukraine» for higher education applicants and research staff.
On February 21, 2020, the Department of Educational Management and Public Administration organized and held the ceremony of awarding Master's Degrees to graduates of Management (Master of Management, Head of Enterprise, Institution and Organization (in the field of education and industrial training), Manager of educational programs).
On February 20, 2020, the Department of Political Science and Law held a round table with the participation of senior students, graduate students and teachers on the topic of "Academic Integrity as a Condition for Quality Educational Process".
Ushynsky University concerns about respecting the principles of academic integrity by all participants in the educational process. From now on, all the written works of the educational recipients will be tested for academic integrity. The technological means of providing such verification will be the software StrickPlagiarism.com from Plagiat.pl, a cooperation agreement signed by Ushynsky University.
On February 17, 2020, 4-year students in the specialty “Law”, along with assistant professor from the Department of Political Science and Law, S.L. Shvets, took part in a roundtable discussion at the Juvenile Probation Sector of Odesa. The meeting was held on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the adoption of the Law of Ukraine “On Probation” and was devoted to discussing issues such as results and prospects of cooperation, the completion of Sector Law-based practice, as well as volunteer work.
Transformations of the preschool and primary education system imply the transition of the New Ukrainian School to the introduction of modern digital technologies into the educational process. Due to this, the teachers and staff of the Department of Preschool Pedagogy, Faculty of Preschool Pedagogy and Psychology, Ushynsky University have stated their own digital competence according to the criteria of the National Digital Literacy Platform of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. It should be noted that the course is developed by the online education studio EdEra with the support of Google, Microsoft, DTEK Academy. The European Digital Competence Framework for DigComp Edu educators is at the basis of the course.
In Primorsky District Administration of Odesa city there have been summed up the introductory practice of students-bachelors of the specialty "Public managment and administration" of the Department of Educational Management and Public Administration of Ushynsky University.
A student of South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky, Igor Lagunov, in the finals of the +84 kg category, with a score of 3:0, won the European Youth Karate Championship in Budapest.
