The Alumni Union
of Confucius Institute at South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky and Harbin Engineering University

The Alumni Union of the Education and Culture Center “Confucius Institute” at South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky and Harbin Engineering University was formed within the implementation of a joint Ukrainian-Chinese project in accordance with paragraph 7.2.10 of the Cooperation Agreement between the universities dated 26.09.2017.

The Alumni Union of “Confucius Institute” at South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky and Harbin Engineering University (hereinafter – the Alumni Union) is a voluntary association of Ukrainian citizens who studied or worked in the Education and Culture Center “Confucius Institute” at Ushynsky University. The functioning of the Alumni Union is carried out on the basis of the Statute.

The purpose of the association is to strengthen ties and cooperation between graduates of Ukrainian and Chinese universities, promote mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of The P.R.C. and Ukraine.

The main tasks of the Alumni Union are: to create conditions for expanding business contacts between participators in various programs of “Confucius Institute”; to establish feedback with them; to improve the quality of training; to promote the exchange of information technologies; to implement projects; to hold various educational, cultural and informational Sino-Ukrainian events.

In order to promptly resolve the issues of the Alumni Union with the consent of Ushynsky University and Harbin Engineering University, the Council was formed. It was composed of:

- Chebykin Oleksiy Yakovych, Rector of Ushynsky University, Honorary Chairman of the Council;

- Ding Xin, Chinese CI director, Chairman of the Council;

- Popova Oleksandra Volodymyrivna, local CI director, Deputy Chairman of the Council;

- Fang Lin, Chinese language teacher at Ushinsky University, member of the Council;

- Sun Xiaojin, responsible person of “Confucius Institute”, member of the Council;

- Stoianova Tetiana Volodymyrivna, Senior Secretary of “Confucius Institute”, member of the Council;

- Salnikova Diana, student of the Foreign Languages Department at Ushynsky University, responsible for scholarship programs at Harbin Engineering University, member of the Council;

- Jin Lulu, Chinese language teacher at “Confucius Institute”, Secretary General of the Council;

- Liu Yige, Chinese language teacher at the primary school branch of “Confucius Institute”, Deputy Secretary of the Council.

The CI Chinese teachers are also members of the Council Board and the Ukrainian teachers are members of the Council Board in its branches.

Algidras Gayuzutis

Doctor of Humanities, Professor, Full Member of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences, Rector of Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences (Vilnius), participates in public and cultural activities. Sphere of his scientific interests – art studies, aesthetics, philosophy of culture, history and theory. Alhidras Gayuzutis is the author of monographs on topical issues of culture, education, art studies, as well as more than 300 scientific publications published in Lithuania and other countries. Since 1994, he has been the editor of many scientific and cultural publications.
Algidras Gayuzutis in his work pays great attention to the development of cultural Ukrainian-Lithuanian relations. He actively supports the implementation of international academic exchanges between students of
Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences and South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky.

Kremen Vasyl –

Doctor of Philosophy, Professor, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, President of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, President of the Knowledge Society of Ukraine. He is the outstanding Ukrainian scientist in the field of social philosophy, political science, philosophy of education, pedagogy, development of the human person. He is the author of many fundamental studies, a well-known organizer of science and public figure. Under his scientific guidance the normative and legal basis of different levels of education of independent Ukraine was developed.
The author of over 350 scientific works, 12 monographs. He is the laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology.

Andrushchenko Victor –

Doctor of Philosophy, Professor, Full Member of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, Rector of the National Pedagogical University named after M.P.  Drahomanov. He is the chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Institute of Higher Education of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, President of the Association of Rectors of the Pedagogical Universities of Europe, Vice-President of the East European Academic Network of Universities, Vice-President of the Oxford Rectors' Club of Europe. He is the author of about 500 scientific works, including 12 individual monographs, textbooks, manuals for students of higher educational institutions.

Shalva Amonashvili –

Doctor of Psychology, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Education, Full Member of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Head of the International Center for Humane Pedagogy, Laboratory of Humane Pedagogy at Moscow State Pedagogical University, Head of the Publishing House Shalva Amonashvili. The educator-innovator, the developer of cooperation pedagogy, the author of papers on the role of assessment in the pedagogical process, a humanistic approach in education. He is the author of several scientific works translated into many languages ​​of the world.

Michail Zinigrad -

Dr.Sc. Physical chemistry, Professor, Rector of Ariel University (Israel). His areas of research include over 30 years of experience in Materials Science and Materials Engineering, Mathematical modeling and simulation. Founded the Research Laboratory for Advanced Materials Investigations. Theoretical and experimental investigations on high-temperature processes. Development of new materials on the basis of mathematical modeling of physico-chemical and technological processes. Professor Zinigrad supervised 16 Ph.D Students, 37 Master Students and 5 Post Doctorants. He has two monographs, over 200 scientific publications, 6 patents, 22 text-books, over 80 presentations on  international scientific conferences.

Valdemar Karvowski –

Doctor of Psychology, Professor, Head of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Control Systems at the University of Central Florida, Orlando (USA). A well-known specialist in the field of ergonomics. He is the author and co-author of more than 300 scientific publications and has been elected an Honorary Doctor of Science in several universities. Member of the International Academy of Man's Problems in Aviation and Astronautics (Russia). The editor of the international publication Human Factor and ergonomics in Production (New York), Editor-in-Chief of the Scientific Journal "Theoretical Issues of Ergonomics" (TIES).

Liu Zhigang –

Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Rector of Harbin Engineering University (People's Republic of China). Famous acoustic scientist. The initiator of the partner support of the international project on the opening of the affiliate of the Confucius Institute at South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushynsky. He is the author and co-author of many scientific publications, has been elected an Honorary Doctor of Sciences from the universities of the USA, Russia, Ukraine, and others.

Zhuk Olexander -

Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Rector of the Educational Institution "Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank".
O. I. Zhuk is a well-known scientist in the field of pedagogy, training and retraining of pedagogical staff, content and technologies of education. He is the founder and leader of the School of Continuing Pedagogical Education. He is the author of 230 publications, including 5 monographs, manuals, as well as scientific and methodological articles. His monograph "Problems of Professional Competence of Educational Personnel: Content and Technology of Attestation" formed the basis of the concept of the Institute for Advanced Training of the IPC as a center for the development of educational practices. The collective monograph "Quality Management of Education: Theory and Practice", edited by O. I. Zhuk, has been the methodological basis for the implementation of the quality management in higher education institutions of the training system. Under the direction of the scientist, the Concept of Continuous Teaching Education in the Republic of Belarus by 2020 was developed.
With the support of O. I. Zhuk, the academic links are intensively developed between scientists of the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank and Ushynsky University.

 

Andriy Shevtsov –

Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Director of the Department of Personnel Certification and Licensing of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Professor of the Department of Orthopedagogy and Rehabilitation of National Pedagogical Dragomanov University. He has over 110 scientific papers on education, accreditation and quality assurance in higher education, special pedagogy, psychology, social policy, rehabilitation, theoretical physics. He has eleven scientific monographs and manuals. The author, co-author and initiator of bills, state programs of development of the system of education and social policy in Ukraine, normative legal acts on issues of secondary and higher education, social-legal protection and rehabilitation of the disabled. He is the member of working groups on drafting laws of Ukraine "On Higher Education", "On Education", "On Fundamentals of Social Protection of Disabled Persons in Ukraine", "On Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons in Ukraine", etc.

   

Kovtunets Volodymyr -

First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine. In the Ministry of Education and Science he occupied the post of deputy director of scientific work of the Institute of Higher Education of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine. Volodymyr Kovtunets has an extensive experience in teaching and research. For many years he has been the expert of the USETI Alliance project in Ukraine. Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor, Member of the Ukrainian Mathematical Society.
