September 30, 2019, at Ushynsky University, the finale of the Chinese Language and Culture Competition "Friendship Cup" was organized by the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Odesa.

The solemn event, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the People's Republic of China, has been attended by: the Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Odesa, Mr. Sung Litsun, Attache of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Odesa, Mr. Wu Mennan.

The Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Odesa Mr. Sung Litsun and the Rector of the South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky, Academician Olexii Yakovych Chebykin, welcomed the audience.

The competition has involved students and pupils of different age categories of the final difficult tasks in the Chinese language and culture of Celestial Empire.

Musical performances for the guests and participants of the event have been prepared by students of Ushynsky University and volunteers of the Educational and Cultural Center “Confucius Institute”. All present have had the opportunity to get acquainted with the photo exhibition and exhibition of art works, video presentation, dedicated to modern China. Particular attention has been paid to the exhibits, which demonstrated the achievements of China in the framework of the international economic initiative "One Belt, One Road".

After the competition part of the program, the winners of all ages have been honored with the commemorative prizes of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Odesa.
